His love for island cruising has brought his specialised skills to the Caribbean, where he likes to take guests close to shorelines, giving unique close-up views of the beautiful islands and reefs, bringing great enjoyment and satisfaction to guests, as well as leading a happy and efficient crew. Captain Nigel has commanded vessels in many different weather conditions and his vast experience gives him the opportunity to explore his passion as an active advanced open water diver, as well as encouraging water sports, snorkelling and exploring islands.

Deckhand: Darren Douglas
Nationality: Vincentian
I have a huge love and passion for the seas and boats. I have gained an abundance of experience in boat/ ship mechanisms and the hospitality and service industry, working as a deckhand on various types of vessels. I am a hard worker and I take pride in providing a service that leaves a positive impression, not only of myself but of the company I work for.
Although I only joined the ship this year, I am always alert and ready to serve and assist in any-way required. I enjoy meeting new guests and exceeding their expectations, delivering to a high standard with a very likeable manor.
Deckhand: Alex Leslie
They call me the “fish on board” because I adore the sea in all its aspects and adventures. Free diving and fishing are my hobbies and they motivated me to develop a career within the boating industry on a game fishing boat (long line tuna fishing). The super-yachting industry was a dream come true for me with the opportunity on Star of the Sea. Water sports and small crafts handling / maintenance are a part of my duty along with overseeing guest safety at all times.
Deckhand: Autry Olliviere
I see no challenge as too big for me and enjoy being on Star of the Sea. I take pride in my work and believe the small details make all the difference in super-yachting. I grew up in Bequia and working and having a senior position on a yacht based in the Caribbean is an ideal career for me, knowing the local history of the islands and doing what I do best.
