M/Y Sheergold, 42 m (137'10"), was constructed by Amels at their Makkum shipyard in the Netherlands and delivered in 1987. The yacht's interior and exterior were both designed by the renowned English design firm Bannenberg & Rowell. Sheergold underwent a comprehensive refit in 2024, ensuring her facilities and aesthetics are up-to-date. Sheergold offers comfortable accommodation for up to eight guests across four suites, including a VIP cabin. The yacht is also staffed by a dedicated crew of nine, ensuring a relaxed and luxurious experience for all guests.

Sam van Seccelen, a Dutch maritime professional, brings strong leadership and technical expertise to his role as Captain of M/Y Sheergold (42m). With previous experience as Chief Officer on M/Y Sherakhan, he is highly skilled in both deck and engine room operations, ensuring smooth and efficient yacht management. Committed to leading his team with diligence and professionalism, Sam values organization, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Holding a Chief Mate Unlimited certification alongside extensive safety and operational qualifications, he is well-equipped to handle all aspects of yacht operations. Passionate about travel, cooking, and sports, Sam combines his technical knowledge with a guest-focused approach to create an exceptional experience on board.

Julia Sjoukes – Stewardess / Chief Stewardess

Julia Sjoukes, originally from the Netherlands, has always been deeply connected to the hospitality industry. With experience as a restaurant employee and ski instructor, she developed strong service and guest relations skills before transitioning into the yachting world. Her career at sea began as a Stewardess on M/Y Sherakhan, and over the years, she gained valuable experience working on various yachts, ultimately advancing to Chief Stewardess on charter yachts. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the full hospitality experience, ensuring impeccable service throughout each charter.
